Deal Team M&A Insights Through Mid-2024
Read MoreUHY LLP operates its charitable giving activities through UHY Cares, an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization inspired and driven by our employees.
Regionally and nationally, our employees are united in their dedication to give back to their communities. Big name charities or small town causes, every year our employees take on dozens of opportunities to invest in and support our communities. These projects are selected by the employees and have included everything from donating aid to hurricane relief efforts to putting together emergency kits for the homeless and running coat drives.
Our UHY Consulting team members inspire change through collaboration every day; we know the transformative power of working together! That’s why all of our UHY Cares initiatives are inspired by our team members and coordinated by a passionate committee of their peers. Through creative fundraising, we band together to support a diverse array of causes – from disaster relief and the health and well-being of children to eliminating hunger – with 100% of all donations from our team members going toward the causes they care about.
In addition to fundraising, we make an impact through hands-on group volunteer efforts. Our days aren’t just filled with doing great work for our clients, we also show up for our communities. You’ll find us taking action by making meals for children and families in need or creating care packages for individuals experiencing homelessness.
For the team at UHY Consulting, corporate social responsibility is just one way we demonstrate UHY is a company with heart.
The Great Lakes chapter of UHY Cares has a strong commitment to building up our community and supporting the organizations that mean the most to our employees. Through UHY Cares, employees are able to give back to the communities in which the live and work, including helping individuals going through personal emergencies or hardships. We have provided assistance to over 200 local charities and families and continue to grow this list every year.
UHY Cares is funded through our employees’ personal donations with significant matching dollars from the firm and partner group, as well as our own fundraising events. 100% of all donations go directly to support the cause. Our corporate giving program is simple yet very impactful, and employees contribute and participate often because what matters to them is heard and acted upon.
Our Mid-Atlantic Cares efforts have provided a chance for our team to get involved with various charitable organizations. Whether it is adopting families at the holidays, raising awareness for senior dogs, helping to restock our local food banks or walking for a cause, our team works together to make a positive impact on the community in which we live and work.
UHY’s Midwest Region sponsors two annual events per year that provide volunteer hours in our communities. Examples include cleaning the grounds at Forest Park, providing homeless kits for Fishes and Loaves Homeless Shelter, and volunteering at the Harvesters Food Pantry. UHY Cares Midwest also awards grants to organizations that our employees are passionate. Annually, we educate our employees on the many ways they can give back to our communities through volunteer service, board service or philanthropy.
In the Northeast, UHY Cares supports the various causes championed by our region’s employees. The focus of our efforts is on the wellbeing and education of our communities through contributions to local organizations and institutions. Annually, about three quarters of our Cares donations support causes such as youth education, scholarships, disease research, food banks, and community outreach programs.
Other donations are used for causes that are even closer to us, at times raised in support of employees who are facing a period of hardship or uncertainty. We actively foster a sense of community across the firm, and it shows most brilliantly when we come together to provide contributions such as newborn gift baskets for new mothers, contributions to memorial funds, or aid following personal tragedies.
